Log into your router following your instruction manual or quick start sheet. Follow the configuring instructions.
Remember: configuring for DSL(phone line) and Cable are entirely different.
DSL systems use PPPoE.
Cable systems use Dynamic IP.
[In my area Aliant/Sympatico is PPPoE --- Eastlink is Dynamic IP]
DSL Users - check that you have the correct password from your provider. There are cases where a password is supplied that works with Connection Manager but not with a router. A phone call to your provider will get you a password that makes the router work. Strange huh?
